What is cab4one?
cab4one is a modern, innovative and energy efficient way of travelling for one passenger and your luggage. For this we recommend our SMART cars. If there are up to four passengers travelling we offer our cab4one + executive saloons. Our fully licensed & insured vehicles are driven by fully licensed, CRB checked and carefully selected drivers. We offer very competitive fares so you’ll find us good for your pocket AND the planet.
Why cab4one?
Most cabs and taxis spend the majority of their time carrying only one passenger leaving the other seats unoccupied. This is plain daft from an environmental and efficiency standpoint. Conventional vehicles burn up a lot of fuel and pump out a whopping amount of CO2. Our cab4one vehicles sip fuel, emit the lowest amount of CO2 and take up less space on our crowded roads. It's fine to use a bigger cab4one + vehicle if there are several passengers to fill it. For one passenger, use cab4one – a sensible, greener way to travel.
Who should use cab4one?
If there's only one person travelling, everyone can gain by using our services. There’s bags of space for customers up to 6 foot 4inches tall! Less nimble customers like the high, easy to access seating position and everyone is surprised at how much space there is inside our small, efficient vehicles. Use us for trips to the airport, shopping, meetings, travelling from or to railway stations, hospital appointments, visiting family & friends. Businesses and private individuals can all benefit from our low costs in the knowledge that they are doing their bit for the environment.

What vehicles do you use?
We currently use the Smart Passion Cdi as our preferred vehicle. It sips fuel (up to 85 mpg) and emits only 89grammes of CO2 per kilometre. For comparison, a Mercedes E Class belches up to 200.49 g/km and an MPV like the Ford Galaxy 189.29 g/km. As a Daimler/Benz design, the Smart car is a comfortable, safe and modern vehicle achieving the European NCAP 4 safety ratings. The panoramic roof, generous legroom and air conditioning ensure you a comfortable journey every time. cab4one + vehicles are a mixture of saloon and hatchback cars which are amongst the most efficient in their class
We plan to introduce electric and alternative fuel vehicles in areas that have a reliable & sustainable support infrastructure.
Where do you operate?
We are licensed to operate throughout the whole of the UK. Our operational base is close to London Stansted Airport and most of our customers are drawn from along the M.11 corridor from Cambridge down to London but we often go further afield.
What hours do you operate?
cab4one can offer a 24/7 pre-booked service to our customers. Our pre-booking service is available either on the website or call our customer service assistants on 0844 567 0041. Our telephone booking service is open 08:30 ~ 20:30 daily. Online bookings are dealt with during our normal office hours.
Our drivers generally operate between the hours of 06:00 and 22:00 at night as we encourage a manageable work/life balance for employees. Journeys may of course be pre-booked outside these times.
Urgent document deliveries?
Yes we do that too along with small parcels up to 250 litres of volume – ring us for details.
How do I book?
cab4one is a pre-booked service. You cannot hail us like an old fashioned taxi and you won't see us on taxi ranks. You can book by either phoning our friendly UK based customer service centre or use the booking form on our website. Same day journeys should be booked over the telephone - our telephone booking service is open 08:30 ~ 20:30 daily.
How do I pay?
We prefer to accept payment via debit/credit cards but will take cash if you prefer. You will be asked for your card details as you book so please have you card at hand. Cards are more secure as we feel our drivers are safer if they don't have to carry quantities of cash. If you are paying the driver by cash please try to have the correct fare that we have quoted as we carry limited change in the vehicles. Regular customers might like to open an account with us.
Will my luggage fit?
Almost certainly! Over 250 litres of space is available in the cab4one luggage compartment. This will easily swallow a large case or a trolley load of shopping. There is plenty of space in our cab4one + vehicles too.
Can you carry a wheelchair?
A standard sized folding wheelchair can be accommodated – please let us know your requirements as you book your journey. A sight-assistance dog may be carried in the passenger foot well at the discretion of the Company. We have an additional doorway grab handle to assist getting in & out of our vehicles.
What are the future plans for cab4one?
We have launched our operations in the Uttlesford area of North Essex but intend to grow quickly to run services in major UK cities and Central London. We have a policy of changing vehicles regularly to keep up with the best and most environmentally sound equipment around. We will be looking to use electric vehicles as the charging and support infrastructure becomes available.

How do I complain if something goes wrong?
With the best will in the world, sometimes things can go wrong. We want to learn from these events and will try to ensure we don't repeat them.
